That sounds like it could be useful...I usually end up just using emacs, do an Why force people to choose? Shouldn't a bug tracker be able to watch check-ins for CRUDs to FIXMEs and TODOs, and report them in the same way as "real" tickets? Model vs. view... That would be useful. NetBeans has exactly that functionality built in, but I miss it when using other IDEs/editors. I would find this a very useful part of a toolbox. I would recommend having some feedback mechanism to inform the user that: 1 (More likely) New tickets have been created based on your [WILDCARD]: Msg. 2 (Less likely) Show that this ticket points to a [WILDCARD] using a (slightly) different colour scheme. I'm really not sure how this would be beneficial over git grep... The main benefit would be the central location (ie, so you can see any of the TODO items with I would also be happier commenting on an "item" (TODO/XXX) if those comments lived somewhere other than "in the middle of a big block of code" (this would be the primary advantage over I have done this and ran grep for the list, but the list can get big quick. Having a repository with a tracker built-in would be so cool. |
